Internal Diversions
Mirrored glass
Internal Diversions, a collaboration between Charlotte Meyer and Maria Phillips, evolved from an ongoing dialogue exploring the iconography of women’s lives, the body, and the natural world. Conceived as a sculptural extension of this exchange, the installation reflected how their dialogue informed both artists’ processes and ideas.
Constructed from mirrored blown glass, the work reflects external appearances while evoking organic systems. As the viewer’s image becomes part of the piece, it transforms from a shared self-portrait into an interactive encounter completed through audience presence.
